As both a parent and staff member at Meadows Elementary I cannot be prouder of the students, staff and families of our community. Not only is Meadows dedicated to providing a well rounded educational experience for all children, but we are equally dedicated to creating an environment where all feel welcomed and valued. We have several events throughout the year that encourage family connections with the school. Meadows is a family and we welcome new additions throughout the year.
As a Science, technology, Mathematics and Engineering (STEM) school, we believe in giving students the experiences that will allow for them to be competitive and marketable in their future. We are partners with the Tech Museum as one of the first recognized Tech Academies of Innovation. That partnership gives membership to our families and provides professional development for our teachers so that all students can learn the basics of engineering design and participate regularly in design challenges. We are also expanding our focus to include software engineering as we delve into computer coding. All of these opportunities have one thing in common, and that is we believe in fostering thinkers. Young thinkers who will grow to be our future leaders.
Although STEM is of vital importance to us, we believe that every child is a genius and we need to provide a variety of opportunities for them to demonstrate their talent. Therefore we also have a recreation program during recess, lunch and after school, and have an after school music program that includes choir and band. In addition we provide opportunities for visual arts, writing and leadership.
Thank you for visiting our website and more importantly for being a part of the Meadows family.
