Meadows students had an awesome first day back to school. They enjoyed rekindling with their friends and peers and loved getting to know their new teachers and classrooms. Let's make it a great year!
On Friday, April 27th, 6th graders showcased their College Projects as they gave a speech to many other students at Meadows. Each sixth grader worked hard to research about a specific college and presented their findings to their peers. They are college bound!
The sixth graders went on the annual trip to Science Camp at Walden West! Students expanded their knowledge about our Earth and its environments. March 26-29th was a quiet week at Meadows without the 6th graders, but they thoroughly enjoyed and learned many new things with their experience at Walden West.
The annual FMEA Basketball Tournament was held on March 24th. Meadows student athletes from 4th through 6th grade participated in this fun event. The team was led by Coach Ben and Mr. Barrington. Many schools from the district participated in the tournament.
Student scientists & engineers at Meadows showed off their skills at our annual Science Fair on February 23rd. First and second place winners went on to the District Science Fair on March 3rd.
Meadows celebrated the annual Lunar New Years with our traditional Kindergarten parade and an exciting dance and creative arts performance by many upper grade students. This was led by Mr. Pham, 4th grade teacher.
Meadows hosted an Art & Literacy night where students and families were invited to participate in some fun and free activities. There were several engaging activities that involved both art and literacy. To end the night, there was a raffle drawing in which winners were able to select a fun art or literacy prize!
On January 24th, three students from Meadows Elementary participated in the annual FMEA Spelling Bee at Bridges Academy. Congratulations to Donna, Henry, and Joseph for representing our school with Dolphin pride!
Students in the Meadows GATE program have been practicing coding with Ms. Sonia Dueñas. They programmed LED ornaments, to be displayed at Christmas in the Park!
