While we recognize that academic achievement is a primary goal, we acknowledge we cannot reach that goal without attending to the overall well-being of each child.  That comes with learning to recognize and regulate our emotions, understanding we are all human and need some grace as we grow, and learning how to resolve conflicts without feeling the need for revenge (often thought of as justice).  In reality, justice is when people learn from their mistakes and are supported to be better people each day.  We appreciate our families who support the work by helping build social skills such as peaceful conflict resolution, forgiveness, and inclusivity.
