Jeanne R. Meadows  Home and School Club Organization
Jeanne R. Meadows  School's Home and School Club is very active. The Home and School Club is so much more than fundraising for school events, classroom supplies, and teacher appreciation. We are working to provide a sense of community and family involvement within the school. When you are involved, your child is involved and feels pride, ownership, participation, and community in his or her school. Stress the importance of education and community by joining the Home and School Club and participating in events throughout the year. It is our goal to enhance the educational experience at Jeanne R. Meadows  School in any way we can. We thank you for being involved and helping to make all of this possible.
If you would like to become a member, call the office at 408.283.6300.

Jeanne R. Meadows  School's Monthly Cafecito’s
Jeanne R. Meadows  School hosts monthly parent meetings on one Thursday of the month (see file below for schedule) from 8:15 and 9:15 in the cafeteria. We want to make time for our parents and this is the perfect opportunity to hear school updates and meet with school administration. Each month, the school administration may include guest speakers or certain topics of discussion. Engage with us! We want to hear from you.
Jeanne R. Meadows  School's Parent Project Jr. Meetings

Jeanne R. Meadows School's Site Council (SSC) and English Learner Advisory Committee (ELAC)
The School Site Council is a decision-making body made up of parents, community representatives, and school staff members. The School Site Council's primary responsibility is to oversee the funds the school receives under the School Improvement Program (SIP) act. The funds are designed to improve student performance as measured by standardized tests, the District's State & Federal Program, and classroom performance. Look at calendars/agendas for specific meeting dates. To become a part of the School Site Council, submit an application to the front office.

Jeanne R. Meadows  School's Volunteer Program
Helping in the classroom or around the school is a great way to stay involved and support our Jeanne R. Meadows  School community. To volunteer in the classroom, please contact your student's teacher so a schedule can be arranged. The teacher will need to add your name in the volunteer log so your visit will be expected by the front office. To volunteer around the school, please contact the front office. Here are just a few ideas of the kind of roles we need on a regular basis:
  • Field Trip Chaperones
  • Event Planning
  • Classroom Assistant
District Level Parent Committee’s
The Franklin-McKinley School District offers a variety of parent involvement opportunities that allow you to become a representative for your child’s school.
