Hello! I, Mr. D., am a 1st Grade teacher at Meadows Elementary School and have been working for Franklin-McKinley School District for 5+ years. I am from a small town in the California Central Valley with a population less than 10,000 people. Ever since I was a young child, I knew I wanted to become a teacher. My cousins and I would play "school" almost every time we saw each other. I first started off playing the role as the "student", then eventually got to play the "teacher". I even taught my younger brother how to count to 100. Teaching runs in my family. There are over 5 teachers in my extended family! I graduated from CSU Stanislaus, then moved to San Jose to get my teaching credential at San Jose State University. As I was part of the credential program, I began to substitute teacher at Meadows Elementary School. The next year, I was fortunate enough to get a teaching position at the AMAZING school. I am so proud to be part of a wonderful school community at Meadows.
